CECRL ( Cadre Européen Commun de Référence pour les Langues/ European common reference framework for languages) is a tool designed to address the Council of Europe's overall objective of "achieving greater unity among members" by "adopting a common approach in the cultural arena", whatever the degree of proficiency.
It presents a grid that lists and describes the language capabilities at each of the six levels of the framework: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2
