THE DAEFLE: DIPLÔME D'APTITUDE À L'ENSEIGNEMENT DU FRANÇAIS LANGUE ETRANGÈRE :
For prospective teachers of Français Langue Etrangère : the DAEFLE
Le Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Français is a diploma offered by the Alliance Française de Paris. Preparation is offered by the CNED (Centre National d'Enseignement à Distance). This diploma, reserved for people intending to become FLE teachers, can be done within one or two years.
A preliminary test is required to verify the level of French of the candidates. The test is based on an abstract and a production of argumentative text, and doesn't require any specific preparation.
The test is compulsory for those who aim for the diploma. No exemption shall be granted. Candidates retain the benefit of passing the test successfully, for three years. Unsucessful candidates may take the test again the following year.
